How we calculate these numbers
We publish indicative monthly costs for every role we recruit. This page explains exactly how those figures are built, what they include, and what they do not — so you can check our working rather than take it on trust.
Status of these figures
These figures are provisional and have not yet been confirmed against our rate card.
We would rather say so than let provisional numbers read as settled ones. They are a reasonable planning starting point and the right order of magnitude, but they should not be relied on for budgeting or a business case until confirmed. Ask us for a written quote for any role you are seriously considering.
How the provisional figures were produced
- A mid-point was set for each role by hand, from experience of what that role costs to staff and what it costs to employ locally.
- The junior and senior figures were then derived arithmetically from that mid-point rather than observed separately.
- The New Zealand, United States and United Kingdom comparisons were derived from the Australian figure by a fixed factor per market, not researched market by market.
That is enough for planning and comparison, and not enough to publish as researched market data — which is why we are telling you rather than presenting it as such.
What each number contains
Every role we publish carries two figures across 93 roles and 14 specialisations.
Your offshore team
The TwistTeams figure
One all-in monthly amount, with nothing held back for later. It covers:
- The Filipino professional's salary, benchmarked to the local market
- All government-mandated contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG)
- 13th-month pay and statutory leave
- Recruitment, HR and payroll management
- Office seat, equipment and IT support in Clark
There is no separate management fee, recruitment fee or per-seat charge layered on top. If something is not in the list above, it is not in the figure.
Equivalent local hire
The onshore comparison figure
What the same role typically costs to employ locally, on a like-for-like fully-loaded basis:
- Base salary for a comparable local role
- Superannuation and statutory on-costs
- Office space, desk and equipment
- IT support and software
- Recruitment and HR overhead
We compare fully-loaded against fully-loaded. Comparing our all-in figure against a bare local salary would flatter us, so we do not do it.
How the saving is calculated
- 1The monthly saving is the onshore figure minus the TwistTeams figure — nothing else is netted off.
- 2The percentage saving is that difference expressed as a share of the onshore figure.
- 3Team totals are the sum of the individual roles you select, shown monthly and annually.
Seniority levels
Every role is published at 3 levels: junior, mid, senior.
Markets and currency
We publish an onshore comparison for 4 markets: Australia, New Zealand, United States, United Kingdom.
- Each market's onshore figure is held in that market's own currency, so it is read directly rather than converted.
- The TwistTeams figure is held as an Australian dollar base and shown in the currency of the market you are comparing against.
Office, hybrid and home-based
Work setup changes only the TwistTeams figure, by the desk and facility cost saved. The onshore comparison is unaffected.
- In-office
- A full dedicated desk in our Clark office.
- Hybrid
- Part office, part home — a shared desk in Clark.
- Work from home
- Home-based in the Philippines, with equipment and IT support.
What we will publish next
To make these figures fully checkable we intend to publish, alongside the confirmed rate card:
- The Australian and regional salary guides used for the onshore comparison, named and dated.
- The Philippine salary benchmarks behind our own figure.
- The statutory contribution rates applied, and how 13th-month pay is treated.
- The exchange rates used and the date they were set.
- What junior, mid and senior mean in years of experience and scope of work.
- How often the figures are recalculated, and when they were last reviewed.
